Beginning with megapixel, as you can see the Fuji as well as the Sony A6300 features same 24 MP resolution.
However keep in mind that the sensor architecture of both the camera is entirely different.
The Sony A6300 Sensor analysis
The Sony A6300 uses 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor pairs with the BIONZ X image processor, the image processor help the camera to boost its ISO range up to 51200. The sensor of the Sony A6300 camera uses thin copper wiring and enhanced circuit processing to boost low light-performance of the camera, reduce color noise as well as low-light noise, and increase readout speeds. The camera can shoot images up to 11 frames per second and with AF support the camera limits the continuous shooting speed to 8fps.
The Fuji X-T2 Sensor analysis
The Fuji X-T2 features 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor which comes with a randomized pixel array that eliminates the use of low pass filter inside the camera. The sensor mimic the organic film pattern and gives out stunning images. The camera with the help of its X-Processor Pro the camera can shoot up to 11 fps with battery grip and 8fps of shooting with continuous AF.
Auto Focus System
Despite of being a bit older product the Sony A6300 have more AF points (425 vs 325) compared to the Fuji X-T2 camera. The Sony A6300 covers more AF screen compared to Fuji X-T2 camera.
4D Focus in Sony A6300
4D Focus system inside the Sony A6300 – the Sony A6300 camera uses 4D auto-focus system that enables 425 Phase AF points and 169 contrast-detection areas.
AF speeds of Fuji is up to 0.08 seconds And Sony AF speed is up to 0.05 seconds, that clearly indicates in standard lightning condition the Sony A6300 will perform better.
4K
Both camera record 4K video and supports raw recording modes S-Log3 Gamma / F-Log Gamma. Without going into too much details I must inform you that Sony A6300 does have some overheating issue when used to record 4K video at average room temperature. You can look at the matter here
Price Difference
Sony A6300 is under $1K camera whereas for Fuji X-T2 you have to pay approx. $1.6K that clearly means you have to pay $600 extra if you want to get Fuji X-T2.
